YFull: FAQ↩ Back

Q: Is the YTree constructed only from SNPs located in the combBED regions?

A: No. The YTree is based on Known SNPs located outside of the combBED regions as well as those located inside the combBED regions. Based on its consideration and analysis of the raw data readings from a significant number of raw data samples, YFull developed its proprietary SNP rating system and its proprietary method of determining which Known SNPs should define the YTree. In general, YFull uses SNPs rated from two to five stars to build its YTree.
